EagleOne Alert is best viewed in Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 8.

Hinds Community College is Mississippi’s largest community college with six campuses in five counties. Emergency situations except those caused by severe weather are rare.

But each campus is a part of the community environment where it’s located and problems can arise. Hinds Community College wants to let students, parents and staff knows when there is an emergency on or around campus and what they need to do to be safe.

Hinds will use the EagleOne Alert system to notify subscribed parties of those emergencies. In the event an alert must be sent, each campus has trained personnel with the ability to set off his/her EagleOne receivers. District personnel will send out alerts through email, SMS/text, and/or voice message alerts.

Here are directions on how to set up your Regroup account.

Those who subscribe to this service can also have alerts sent directly to their cellular device via SMS Text and/or voice message. Alerts can also be sent to an email address, as well as a Facebook account.

The cellular number you use to register for EagleOne Alert text messaging will not be published in a directory or used for any other purpose. It will be used for alerts and for periodic testing of the EagleOne Alert system.

Hinds will also broadcast alert information as messages displayed on Eagle Vision televisions located on each of the campuses.
